More to follow on this one shortly… speaking of ‘shortly’ just look at that bedroom door (photo 2)..! Suffice to say I whacked my head a couple of times (and yes… I need a haircut). Tetbury was beautiful, so was the wedding (congrats to Rachael and Andy) – he was so obviously crazy in love that even cynical old me had a tear in my eye during the vows.
Lodge Farm made the weekend… probably the best Bed & Breakfast in Tetbury.
Lodge Farm is situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, less than two miles from the ancient Wool Market town of Tetbury. It offers two comfortable double/twin bedrooms with ensuite facilities in a Grade II listed house, with dinner by arrangement and is superb base from which to explore the Cotswolds.
Lots of dogs and horses – and I believe you can even take your own horse if you’re that way inclined (the farm is 20 acres with stables). Nicky and Robin Salmon were wonderful company and excellent hosts – I’d highly recommend the place for a cozy Cotswolds getaway.
What made it for me was the night sky – I’ve never before had such a fantastic view of millions of stars with the band of the milky way so clear. Light pollution is a terrible thing 🙂
