Spiders don’t bother me in the least… I’ve always been quite happy to pick them up and put them outside the house if anybody has been troubled by their presence.
I think I must have upset this one though as I’m sure it was going for me – so opted for the ‘large glass’ removal technique rather than the usual gentle clasp in the palm of the hand.

I’d be interested to know if this species is indigenous to the British Isles, or if it’s an illegal immigrant smuggled in on the back of a lorry, concealed by Peruvian Satsumas… if so there’s a good chance I could claim benefits for it..?
