New offices and warehouse fully operational

8 years in (for me) and we’re growing faster than ever… we have recently completed the move into our new Trafford Park premises and most of the staff from our old head office site are now based here. The old site now has very few office staff but continues to be our primary production facility for vape and protein. It’s where all our clean-rooms are located.

The network here is, if I say so myself, pretty awesome – not that I’m one to blow my own trumpet but it’s not often that you get the chance to design a network from the ground up. Usually you inherit something that’s morphed and evolved over years into the network of your nightmares. Here I have10G fibre throughout to switch cabs around the estate, separate secure wifi for warehouse and offices. VLANs to separate the 2 CCTV systems, data and areas. Fast as hell and rock-solid.

The office and warehouse aesthetics are pretty damn good too – I had nothing to do with that side of things, fortunately… although I can appreciate an aesthetically pleasing environment my own artistic flair and talent is woefully inadequate. The team responsible for this side of things, however, did a sterling job.!

The IT office is fantastic – even got space to do wheelchair tricks when the fancy takes me. Best of all, it’s got windows (mirrored so you can’t see in). It’s a proper office and everything. Swipe access in and out and swipe again to get into the spacious and well organised server room.

Pre-accident (pre-Harley): the Rocket III in front of new office block. Was doing some network configs on this day. Warehouse loading bays to the right, start of the office block to the left.
When warehouse was still under construction – it’s fairly large (167,000 sq ft). That’s 4 sites linked up now.
An example of one of the new office spaces – very pleasant working environment. No staff moved over at this point – still being set up, hence the squiff monitors.
New canteen – one of several – adorned here by two of my IT Team.
The IT Team at rest – not a common site
One of the several meeting rooms, after we moved in. Excellent AV, wall mounted tablets at the doors for checking availability and booking (or usual method through calendar as room resources).
